After two Sprint weekends on the trot, we revert to normality in Mexico with the standard three practice and qualifying format. And after dominating the practices, Verstappen is to start from third on Sunday. It’ll be an all Ferrari front row with Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz having a superb qualification. After a frustrating season, Daniel Ricciardo was fourth fastest in qualifying, Mexican Sergio Perez fifth, and McLaren’s Lando Norris having a shocker down in 18th.
Verstappen claimed his record-equalling 15th win of the season at the Circuit of the Americas in Texas last weekend, having confirmed the retention of his Drivers’ Championship crown in Qatar the week before. And he already has the most F1 wins of any driver in history at the Mexican G.P., after winning four of its last five iterations.

With the Dutch driver a gobsmacking 226 points ahead of his nearest rival — teammate Sergio Perez, who heads to Mexico hoping to win his home G.P. for the first time — the main point of intrigue now is the race for second in the rankings. Perez sits at 240 points, with former champs Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso 39 and 57 points back respectively.

If you’re lucky enough to live in Austria or Luxembourg then you can look forward to free F1 live streams of every Grand Prix in 2023.
That’s because the free-to-air RTL Zwee in Luxembourg will be showing every race, while ServusTV and ORF will share the rights in Austria (it’s Orf for the 2023 Mexico GP). If you’re having trouble connecting to one of those, Belgium’s RTBF also airs the races that are on ORF.
In the U.S., folks who can pull in ABC over-the-air will be able to watch select races for free — including the Mexico G.P.
But what if you’re usually based in one of those countries but aren’t at home for a particular F1 live stream? Maybe you’re on holiday and don’t want to spend money on pay TV in another country, when you’d usually be able to watch for free at home?
